Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Pandharpur was established on 13/6/1947 and started its actual functioning on 1/1/1949. The entire Pandharpur Lalluka is under the jurisdiction of the Chajar Committee and its head office is functioning in 40 acres of land in Pandharpur city. Bhandishegaon, Karakamb and Bhalwani are the sub-markets. It is currently functioning as per the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Purchase and Sale (Development and Regulation) Act, 1963. The current Board of Directors has come into power since 18/5/2023 and Hon. Shri. Harishdada Bhaskarrao Gaikwad, Ra Chale has been elected as the Chairman and Hon. Shri. Rajubapu Vitthalrao Gawde, Ra Puluj has been elected as the Vice Chairman.

Deals for grains, currants, onions, lemons, fruits, bananas, pomegranates, sugarcane, vegetables and fenugreek leaves are made separately. After the deals, the licensed person weighs them and accordingly prepares a farmer's bill and pays the seller the amount of his goods. Among other agricultural products, animals and cattle are sold by mutual negotiation.
